We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Medical Lab Technologist to join our team. In this position you will have the opportunity to use your extensive knowledge and expertise to help us develop, implement and maintain innovative Laboratory Department practices that will meet the current and future needs of Lakeridge Health.
Performing routine and specialized test procedures in Chemistry, Hematology and Blood Bank; performing pre‑analytical procedures including phlebotomy, specimen management and ECGs; organizing workflow to maintain performance standards of quantity and quality; observing, troubleshooting and reporting problems with methods, equipment to Lab Supervisor; ensuring cleanliness of equipment and immediate work area; following established safety and infection control procedures; participating in student/staff training programs, as required; and performing other duties as assigned.
The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and OPSEU Local 348.
Successful External applicants must provide a satisfactory Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector, dated within the past six (6) months.
