Job summary

A regional children's services agency in Timmins is looking for an Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing Worker. This role involves providing a wide array of children’s services, including preventive care and child protection. Qualified candidates should hold an MSW or BSW (or relevant diploma), have experience with families, impeccable communication skills, and a valid driver's licence. Flexible hours and travel may be required. Competitive salary between $59,724 and $85,697 annually, with applications due by December 5, 2025.

Qualifications

  • An MSW or BSW is preferred, a College Diploma in Social Services may also be considered.
  • Experience with children and families is an asset.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislative requirements is needed.

As a member of the Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing team, your primary responsibilities will be to provide a broad spectrum of children’s services. These services may include, but are not limited to, providing preventative and child protection services to children and families, completing risk assessments, developing protection plans and completing the required documentation necessary for determining disposition.

Job Requirements (qualifications And Skills)
  • An MSW or BSW is preferred (a College Diploma in Social Services may be considered along with other relevant university degrees or diplomas deemed suitable by the Executive Director)
  • Experience working with children, youth and families is considered an asset
  • Able to interpret and apply relevant legislative requirements
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours as required
  • Must be willing to travel as required
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is asset
  • Must have a valid G Class driver’s licence and use of own vehicle
