Job summary

RBC Dominion Securities invites winter co-ops to join the Wealth Management team in Montréal. You will assist Investment Counsellors and Advisors, coordinating meetings, onboarding clients, and maintaining documentation.

This paid, full-time student term offers exposure to multiple RBC business lines and a robust training program, with bilingual service across Canada. You’ll work with a dynamic team and gain hands-on client service experience.

Qualifications

• Bilingualism (English and French) required to serve our clients across Canada.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• High level of time management and organization skills.
• Demonstrated skills in providing world‑class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prepare meetings for Advisors with clients/prospects.
• Provide proactive client service with focus on problem resolution and attention to detail; liaise with departments for execution.
• Assist the Advisor team with client onboarding and maintenance of existing client accounts.
• Ensure accurate and timely updates of all necessary documentation in compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Support Advisor team and client through the Wealth Management process and maintain audit of activities and priorities.
• Stay current with all RBC Policies & Procedures.
• Provide support on assigned projects, conducting research, and sharing information with the team.
• Answer basic inquiries and resolve routine problems regarding products and services via calls, email, or chat.
• Ensure trades are processed accurately and on a timely basis.
• Manage all aspects of account opening and documentation and maintain client cash flows and balances.

What is the opportunity?

We are seeking winter co-ops across several Administrative Assistant roles to join the Wealth Management team (including but not limited to the following: Private Client Associate, Branch Support Assistant, Operations Assistant, Private Banking Associate, etc.). RBC Wealth Management provides students with the opportunity to gain in-depth, hands‑on experience while working and learning alongside our experienced professionals. As part of a dynamic team, you will be responsible for assisting Investment Counsellors or Investment Advisors and other members of the team provide exceptional client experiences.

What will you do?

• Coordinate and prepare meetings for Advisors with their clients/prospects.
• Provide proactive client service with a focus on problem resolution and attention to detail. Liaise with various departments for execution, where necessary.
• Assist the Advisor team with client onboarding and maintenance of existing client accounts.
• Ensure accurate and timely updates of all necessary documentation in compliance with internal controls and industry regulatory requirements. Maintain complete and up-to-date client files within appropriate systems.
• Support Advisor team and client through the Wealth Management process and maintain audit of Wealth Management Activities and priorities.
• Stay current with all RBC Policies & Procedures
• Provide support on assigned projects, conducting research, and sharing information with the team.
• Answering basic inquiries and resolving routine problems regarding products and services via calls, email, or internet chat.
• Ensure trades are processed accurately and on a timely basis
• Manage all aspects of account opening and documentation and maintain client cash flows and balances

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

• Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
• High level of time management and organization skills
• Demonstrated skills in providing world‑class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Nice to have

• Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
• Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures
• Familiarity with Salesforce.
• Interest in the Canadian investment landscape.

• If you are not returning to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component to graduate successfully
