Qualifications

  • Must be returning to school after the work term end-date or require the work term to graduate.
  • Strong client service skills presented as professional, warm, and friendly.
  • Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities systems and procedures is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare meetings for Advisors.
  • Provide proactive client service and problem resolution.
  • Assist with client onboarding and maintenance of accounts.
  • Ensure accurate updates of documentation.
  • Support the advisor team in Wealth Management activities.
  • Conduct research and provide project support.
  • Answer inquiries regarding products and services.

RBC Wealth Management is inviting applicants for administrative support positions across the following business areas: RBC Dominion Securities, RBC PH&N Investment Counsel, RBC Royal Trust, RBC Private Banking, RBC Wealth Management Financial Services, and RBC Global Asset Management.

What is the opportunity?

We are seeking summer interns for several Administrative Assistant roles in the Wealth Management team, including Private Client Associate, Branch Support Assistant, Operations Assistant, and Private Banking Associate. Interns will gain hands‑on experience while working alongside experienced professionals and assisting Investment Counsellors or Advisors to deliver exceptional client experiences.

What will you do?
  • Coordinate and prepare meetings for Advisors with their clients/prospects.
  • Provide proactive client service focused on problem resolution and attention to detail, liaising with various departments as necessary.
  • Assist with client onboarding and maintenance of existing client accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates of all necessary documentation in compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements, maintaining complete and up‑to‑date client files within appropriate systems.
  • Support the Advisor team and clients through the Wealth Management process, maintaining an audit of Wealth Management Activities and priorities.
  • Stay current with all RBC policies and procedures.
  • Provide support on assigned projects, conducting research and sharing information with the team.
  • Answer basic inquiries and resolve routine problems regarding products and services via calls, email, or internet chat.
  • Ensure trades are processed accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Manage all aspects of account opening and documentation, maintaining client cash flows and balances.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
  • English and French bilingualism (required).
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • High level of time management and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated world‑class client service skills presented as professional, warm, and friendly to clients.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to have
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH).
  • Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities systems and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.
  • Interest in the Canadian investment landscape.

Eligibility requirements: you must either be returning to school after the work term end‑date, or if you are not returning to school (you are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component to graduate successfully.
