Job summary

Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA) in Fort Albany, Ontario, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a permanent full-time role in the Clinical Services division. This remote north site offers care across primary, acute, mental health and community programs.

Required: Nursing diploma (BSN preferred), registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, and BLS/ACLS; PALS/AED/NRP/TNCC assets. WAHA provides relocation, housing, northern living allowances, and retention bonuses.

Who You Are
  • Experienced registered nurse with 2 years’ experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, while supporting each member intheir roles
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Deep knowledge of nursing role and enhanced scope
  • Ability to develop strategic partnerships with colleagues in order to enhance patient care services

What Your Bring
  • Diploma in Nursing required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Registered with College of Nurses of Ontario and in good standing
  • Certification in BLS and ACLS
  • Certification in PALS, AED, NRP, TNCC and IV therapy is an asset
  • Certification in Added Nursing Skills or willingness to obtain within a prescribed period required
