A community care provider in Canada is looking for students to join their team in various roles including Personal Support Workers and Practical Nursing. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience while supporting a resident-centred culture. Students will work closely with a diverse team, advocating for resident involvement in their care. Join a family-owned organization that values training and holistic health care.
Schlegel Villages Values Students and their commitment to helping others. With our 18 Village locations (and growing) we look forward to the opportunity to help students receive hands on experience and develop the necessary skills to become an exceptional team member.
Please do not apply to this opportunity unless you have already connected with a village or Christine Bruder to ensure placement is available.
We would love to connect with you to learn more about your practicum needs and how we can support your learning.
Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of care to our residents. You will work as a key member of our Village and neighbourhood multidisciplinary teams to understand residents’ individual needs, and advocate for residents to actively participate in decisions about their care.
Please note: an interview does not guarantee placement with Schlegel Villages.
At Schlegel Villages we are redefining elder care through innovation, Village design and culture change, but we know the key to our Village success, and our residents’ satisfaction, is YOU and our teams.
We aspire to provide all members of our communities, including team members, with a life enriching experience. We are family owned and operated and we take our mission seriously : “to provide holistic health care in a home environment, located within an internal neighbourhood design that promotes a caring community with emphasis on optimal health and life purpose for each resident”.
Schlegel Villages is pleased to accommodate individual needs in accordance with the Accessibility of Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA), within our recruitment process. If you require accommodation at any time throughout the recruitment process, please speak with the hiring leader.
Schlegel Villages is an equal opportunity employer and we welcome newcomers, those of visible minorities such as indigenous, youth and or new comers to Canada to apply.
Placement opportunities following an interview are not guaranteed as each location is limited on how many students they can host at any given time.
