Program Manager Capital Markets

As the Program Manager Capital Markets you will lead the strategic integration of our Capital Markets business including the recent Cormark acquisition and other critical strategic initiatives within the FICC (Fixed Income Currency and Commodities) domain. Reporting within the CXT Program Delivery Portfolio you will provide expert guidance throughout the Solution Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) to execute the Capital Markets Program.

You are an energetic, organized and motivated leader with proven success managing competing priorities and delivering complex large‑scale programs. Your work will be critical in transforming the firm from an advisory‑centric broker into a full‑service broker‑dealer.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Accountable for the end‑to‑end success of the Capital Markets Program including oversight of a strategic consulting engagement.
  • Program Strategy & Planning: define the project approach and develop effective plans. Engage cross‑functional stakeholders (Technology Business 3rd party vendors) to confirm problems, expected outcomes and key deliverables.
  • Integration Leadership: spearhead the Cormark business integration initiatives ensuring seamless alignment of technology, data infrastructure and operating models.
  • Program Control: assign and monitor deliverables, tasks and activities. Manage and report on budget/cost status, risk and success criteria to senior stakeholders.
  • Risk & Issue Management: proactively anticipate and effectively manage risks and issues across the program lifecycle collaborating with other program managers on cross‑project dependencies.
  • Stakeholder Management: ensure optimal communications within and across teams. Maintain strong positive relationships with all project stakeholders to ensure alignment and shared vision.
Strategic Consulting Program Focus
  • Capital Markets Technical Architecture: define an end‑to‑end architecture to support business growth and address integration/scalability requirements from the Cormark acquisition.
  • Trading System Operating Model: evaluate and recommend an optimal cost‑effective operating model for trading system deployment and ongoing support ensuring efficient downstream integration.
  • Book of Record and System Mapping: conduct a comprehensive review to identify and document authoritative data sources (e.g., trade position P&L risk) across all Capital Markets platforms (Front, Middle, Back Office).
  • Security Master and Market Data Master: assess and enhance functions to ensure data consistency, quality and alignment for instrument reference data, pricing curves and analytics feeds across systems.
Required Experience and Expertise
  • Functional & Program Management
  • 10 years of progressive experience in IT project and program management.
  • 3 years leading cross‑functional teams through the successful delivery of large‑scale complex initiatives.
  • Proven experience in Capital Markets technology implementations including: Trading Solutions and Systems; Custodian Clearing and Settlement infrastructure; Fixed Income Currency and Commodities (FICC) products and capabilities; Risk measurement frameworks and tools and subsidiary / business integration projects.
Technical & Transformational Acumen

Previous experience leading programs in the Capital Markets space is highly preferred. Familiarity with trading systems, clearing and settlement infrastructure, portfolio management systems and an understanding of SaaS operating models are highly desirable.

Leadership & Communication
  • Proven leadership experience in managing cross‑functional teams and mentoring junior members.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) with the ability to articulate complex technical and business concepts to diverse audiences including senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management, active listening and relationship management.
