Job summary

A community health organization in Winnipeg seeks a full-time Outreach Worker to engage with women involved in the sex trade through compassionate street-level outreach. Position Summary

Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Outreach Worker will offer early intervention for women involved in the sex trade through empathetic first‑response street‑level engagement and outreach services. The worker will also provide referrals and transitions to other services, build and consolidate partnerships with stakeholders, and provide preventative activities such as community education. The employee will staff the drop‑in space, attend program and department staff meetings, and participate in relevant Mount Carmel Clinic committees. Additionally, the incumbent will perform household duties on a rotating basis as needed, including laundry, food preparation, and cleaning.

Qualifications

Education – Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.

Experience – Minimum of 2 years working in community programs, preferably with the target population, and experience providing outreach to hard‑to‑reach populations.

Additional Information

Position Type – Full‑time, 1.0 FTE, term until March 31 2027.

Hours – Monday to Friday, 10:45 am to 7:00 pm (operationally variable).

Salary – $25.63–$29.64 per hour.

Location – Sage House; may be required to work at other Mount Carmel Clinic sites.
