Salary : $42.855 - $62.337 / hr

  • These hours can vary depending on the operational requirements of the program
  • Mount Carmel Clinic operates out of multiple locations; you may be required to work in other areas

Position Summary

The Physician Assistant / Clinical Assistant will be required to perform order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic investigations / duties of this position can / will include performing history and physical exams in a variety of settings.

Physician Assistants / Clinical Assistants will be required to attend clinical and educational requirements will include standard-of-practice recordings of all patient encounters these methods may require dictating or utilizing electronic medical records where / when must be able to communicate effectively in English with other members of interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Qualifications
  • Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba as a Physician Assistant or Clinical Assistant
  • Must be eligible for a Medical Staff Appointment with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority
  • Prior experience preferred

Physician Assistants :

  • Candidates must be a graduate of a Physician Assistant Educational Program acceptable to the College and eligible for national certification

Clinical Assistants :

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical School in Canada or abroad
  • Must have at least one of the following :
  • Clinical Assistant Assessment
  • NAC OSCE
  • LMCC
