APPOINTMENT: 0.4 FTE Continuing

START DATE: September 1, 2026

Qualifications Required:
  • First Nations Language Teacher Certificate in Okanagan Language (as recognized by the BC Teacher Regulation Brand (TRB)). Uncertified language teacher applications may be considered with a commitment to complete the TRB Letter of Permission;
  • recent experience teaching Okanagan language;
  • proficient in speaking and writing in Okanagan and English;
  • ability to model, teach and foster social, emotional and cultural awareness;
  • knowledge of current effective instruction and assessment practices;
  • demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level;
  • effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills;
  • ability to integrate technology into educational programs.
