A community service organization in Northwestern Ontario is seeking a Children's Wellness Worker to ensure the protection of children in care. The role requires a minimum of a two-year Human Services Diploma and two years of experience working with Anishinabek children, youth, and families. The position is permanent full-time, based in Thunder Bay, with weekly hours of 32.5. Strong candidates display flexibility in work hours and a valid Class G Driver’s License. Under the direction of the Children’s Wellness or District Child Welfare Service Manager, the Children’s Wellness Worker is responsible for providing the protection of children in care by performing duties as may be required, in accordance with provisions of the Child and Family Services Act, Ministry Regulations and Standards, Abuse Protocols, and Dilico Anishinabek Family Care policies and procedures. The Children’s Services Worker is responsible for ensuring that all the service needs of children in care of the agency are met.
