A community-focused employment organization in Northwestern Ontario seeks an Indigenous Knowledge Facilitator to design and deliver education and training related to Indigenous topics. The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree and has experience in Indigenous knowledge transfer. This is a permanent, full-time position with required travel. Under direction of the Program Manager, the Indigenous Knowledge Facilitator will be responsible for the design and delivery of education and training related to Indigenous peoples, the impacts of colonialism, cultural safety, Anishinabek history, and traditional knowledge, services and medicines to the community, staff, and clients.
The Indigenous Knowledge Facilitator will also support Dilico’s Bimaadiziwin Wiidookaagewin Cultural Program services around traditional healing, guidance and counselling, teachings, sacred circles, and ceremonies, collaborating with communities and staff to promote a balance of health and wellbeing within our First Nation communities.
The position is permanent full-time and travel to the district will be required.
