Job summary

Dilico Anishinabek Family Care is seeking a Casual Prime Worker to transport and support children in the child welfare program. You will provide care aligned with the agency’s philosophy and goals while working on an as-needed basis.

The role requires a minimum grade 12, a preferred two-year Human Services Diploma, and relevant child welfare experience. A valid G license, vehicle access, and liability insurance are essential, with flexible hours expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum grade 12 diploma required.
• Two-year Human Services Diploma preferred.
• Minimum two years experience with Anishinabek children, youth, individuals and families; child welfare experience preferred.
• Satisfactory criminal records check.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.
• Valid Class G Driver’s License; access to a reliable personal vehicle; and $1,000,000 liability insurance.

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

The Casual Prime Worker is responsible for transporting and supporting children receiving child welfare services. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide care for the child and youth that is consistent with the philosophy, approach, goals and learning environment established by Dilico Anishinabek Family Care.

Salary:

$19.54 hourly

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A minimum grade 12 diploma is required
• A two year Human Services Diploma is preferred
• A minimum two years experience with Anishinabek children, youth, individuals and families; and preferably Child Welfare experience
• Candidates without the specific education qualifications, but who possess an appropriate combination of child welfare experience and other academic qualifications will also be considered
• A satisfactory criminal records check
• Required to work flexible hours
• A valid Class “G” Driver’s License; access to a reliable, personal vehicle; and $1,000,000 liability vehicle insurance
