The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board is seeking an Educational Assistant to work with students with Special Needs, including physical and intellectual disabilities and behavioral or learning difficulties. The role provides academic, physical and emotional support to promote independence and development.
The position is 33.83 hours per week with scheduling to be determined by the Principal; external candidates may be considered after the closing date if internal candidates are not
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with students with Special Needs (specifically physical and intellectual disabilities and behavioral or other learning difficulties). The Educational Assistant, as a professional and integral member of the school team, is responsible for the provision of academic, physical and emotional support to students with exceptional needs within the school in order to encourage student independence and the development of unique talents of individual students.
This position works 33.83 hours per week; schedule to be determined by the Principal.
