What You'll Do

As a part of BCG's X Delivery team, you will play a pivotal role in bridging technology and strategy. You will collaborate with premier consulting teams around the world, applying your software development expertise across a variety of ambitious and ground-breaking international projects. You will be instrumental in advancing BCG's Consulting and BCG X teams by providing critical software development insights and speeding up project execution.

As a Software Engineer Senior Manager, you will be at the heart of action, from gathering initial requirements to designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions that address our client's unique challenges. With a deep understanding of the latest tools and processes, you'll craft high-quality, efficient tech solutions. Your projects will span the spectrum, from swiftly driven Proof of Concepts and Minimum Viable Products to managing long-term, enterprise-grade software developments that are integral to our project successes.

What You'll Bring

We are seeking a technologically adept individual who brings strong experience and diverse skills to our dynamic team. This role is an outstanding opportunity for someone who is passionate about software development and eager to make an impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

1. Background & Experience: Extensive end-to-end development and engineering management experience, including building enterprise-scale projects and MVPs and leading teams of 20+ multi-functional resources.
2. Technical Expertise: Hands-on coding experience in relevant technologies, with a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and program management techniques.
3. Leadership & People Management: Proven ability to lead and develop teams, manage people processes, and foster a positive culture in large-scale environments.
4. Organizational & Communication Skills: Proactive, highly organized, with excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills, able to convey ideas clearly to team members at all levels.
5. Project Delivery: Consistent track record of managing project deliveries with excellence in quality, cost, and operations.
6. Fluent in Portuguese and English.

Technical Skills - Knowledge and Experience with:

1. Programming Languages: Strong coding skills and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Kotlin, and modern JavaScript frameworks, including React, Angular 2+, or Vue.js.
2. Cloud Computing: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.
3. CI/CD Tools: Proficient in CI/CD tools (CircleCI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
4. Databases: Extensive experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MySQL) and functional knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Neo4j, Redis).

Additional Skills & Responsibilities (+):

1. Technical & Delivery Oversight: Serve as a trusted advisor on software development and delivery for high-demand customers. Own technical envisioning, feasibility, budgeting, timelines, and execution of enterprise-grade applications.
2. People Management, Collaboration & Outreach: Manage all facets of the employee lifecycle from recruitment to off-boarding. Provide continuous, constructive feedback and support to team members.
3. Problem Solving & Mentoring: Strong solutioning skills with hands-on experience in the full software development lifecycle.
