Challenge
The Senior Software Engineer will work with the development team, being responsible for financial analytical system, in addition to optimizing and creating end-to-end processes and suggesting new tools, technologies, and methodologies that better work and fit the team.
What you'll do
- Work with Python for well-constructed, intelligently tested, easy-to-use, and extensible packages (Flask), and also scaling out Python compute workloads using Dask.
- Join an existing team that is building toward the product vision.
- Get involved in all aspects of design, delivery, and support of the Systems.
- Work with the entire team to add new product features and enhance existing ones.
- Collaborate with other engineering, design, product, and platform teams to develop, build, run, and support the system architecture.
In order to succeed in this position, you will need:
Mandatory skills
- Advanced/fluent English skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on Python development experience: designing, developing, and deploying REST APIs.
- Experience writing CI/CD YAML files for integrating and deploying code, GitLab preferred.
- Building data models for efficient data storage and retrieval for relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, MongoDB and Snowflake are preferable).
- Working with services from Cloud providers (AWS preferred), such as S3, Secrets Manager, SQS, EKS, etc.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Snowflake and/or SQL Server (preferred), and NoSQL (MongoDB preferred).
- Experience with front-end development using Typescript, React, or Next.
- Experience with end-to-end testing using Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright.
- Running services in a containerized docker environment (Docker swarm, Kubernetes, etc.).
Non-technical skills
- Good communication skills.
- Flexible to deal with different stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team.
- Eager to learn and constantly improve technical skills.
