Senior Financial Reporting Accountant
As a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant, you will be responsible for completing a range of financial activities and tasks resulting in the presentation of financial and management reports.
Manage accounting compliance activities and focus on statutory audits.
Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors, external partners, and tax departments.
Ensure timely completion of statutory financial statements per local legislation and support on CIT workings.
Follow up on queries from local authorities.
Prepare audit packages and gather supporting evidence as per auditors' PBC lists.
Coordinate SITA’s responses to auditor requests and participate in sample testing.
Track audit progress, maintain audit status reports, and elevate potential delays.
Ensure smooth communication between auditors and relevant SITA departments.
Prepare the financial statements.
Support business units with compliance requirements for local tenders.
Contribute to continuous improvement of compliance and audit processes.
University degree in Accounting and Finance
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CRC) is an asset.
3–5 years' experience in an accounting environment, preferably in a medium to large international company with a matrix structure.
Experience with statutory audits, including techniques and standards used.
Experience with ERP platforms (Oracle preferred).
Knowledge of IFRS, an asset.
Advanced MS Word and Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP, etc.)
Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).
Proficiency in Spanish (minimum B2 level).
Strong analytical skills.
Effective communication with internal and external partners.
Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines (e.g., statutory busy season of 2–3 months).
