Job overview and responsibilities

As the first point of contact between United Airlines and our customers, you will need strong communication skills and the ability to learn our systems to provide accurate answers. You may be asked to provide flight schedules, rates, determine optimal routes and timings based on customer needs, or answer other passenger inquiries.

  • Sells consultatively.
  • Communicates fare, rate, schedule, routing, travel document (Visa/Passport), and related information courteously and clearly.
  • Resolves customer conflicts requiring service or handling.
  • Arranges ticketing and special services.
  • Informs customers of flight irregularities and schedule changes.
  • Assists employees with business and personal travel arrangements.
  • Uses computer terminals to access, input, and retrieve information.

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for visas will not be provided. Employees retain their original employment date and seniority upon transfer, with appropriate adjustments to payroll and benefits as per country laws and agreements.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 18 years old
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Flexible to work any shift in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Legally authorized to work in Brazil without sponsorship
  • Computer literacy, including accurate keyboarding and ability to learn airline-specific reservation software

Preferred

  • One year of experience in sales, customer contact, or related fields
  • Previous airline industry experience
  • Valid passport and U.S. visa for training travel
