Position will be responsible for control and monitoring of the manufacturing systems at the Bethlehem site to synthesize and purify inhalation anesthetic agents.

Job Overview

Responsible for controlling and monitoring manufacturing systems at the Bethlehem site, focusing on synthesizing and purifying inhalation anesthetic agents.

Key Responsibilities

1. Follow operating procedures and safety rules; understand all relevant procedures.
2. Participate in 5S and SFTI initiatives in manufacturing.
3. Assist in troubleshooting automation and operational issues.
4. Enter SAP data in real-time for all production processes.
5. Coordinate work with Maintenance and submit work orders.
6. Report alarms and take appropriate actions.
7. Achieve manufacturing schedules and production goals.
8. Complete accurate manufacturing batch records using electronic and manual data.
9. Maintain audit-ready manufacturing areas with up-to-date documentation.
10. Ensure a safe and healthy working environment in cooperation with management and colleagues.
11. Report all incidents and accidents promptly.
12. Adhere to cGMP (21 CFR 210 & 211) standards.
13. Operate reactors, distillation columns, filters, and molecular sieves.
14. Read meters and gauges to verify operating conditions.
15. Operate and control electric motors, pumps, and valves.
16. Handle hazardous chemicals safely.
17. Adjust controls and override automatic systems as needed.
18. Take samples for Quality Control analysis.
19. Adjust pH levels of discharged water.
20. Inspect equipment regularly for malfunctions.
21. Record operations and maintenance actions.
22. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workplace.
23. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
24. Assist other departments as needed.
25. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.

Key Competencies

• High school diploma or GED; 1-2 years related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, instructions, and manuals.
• Basic math skills and ability to interpret data.
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions; problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds and wearing PPE.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Education / Experience

High school diploma or equivalent; technical skills recommended but not mandatory. Experience with SAP or similar systems is preferred.

Work Environment

Moderately undesirable conditions with exposure to temperature variations, chemicals, noise, and potential minor injuries.

Supervision

Works under moderate to limited supervision, following objectives set by management, with some independence in handling situations.
