The role of a Senior Director of Mobility Solutions is dynamic and requires a blend of technical knowledge, strategic thinking, leadership skills, and an understanding of the evolving landscape of transportation and mobility. Serves as the primary decision maker and interface to customers and partners for all decisions, including profitability for the LoB. Over time, revenue responsibility of $150M-$200M while developing and implementing plans for advancing the company’s products and/or services to meet market demands within the LoB, working within the financial plans provided by senior management. Establishes budgets, short- and long-range objectives and criteria for monitoring progress and measuring success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing long-term strategies for vehicle mobility and beyond fuel revenue categories, which could encompass aspects like autonomous vehicles, shared mobility solutions, and more.

  • Innovation and Technology Leadership: Leadership of research of new technologies and solutions in vehicle mobility. This might involve staying abreast of emerging trends in the industry, such as advancements in electric vehicle technology or autonomous driving systems.

  • Partnership Development: Establishing and maintaining relationships with key partners, suppliers, and other stakeholders in the vehicle mobility and beyond fuel ecosystem. This could include collaborations with technology companies, government bodies, and other organizations.

  • Team Management and Development: Leading a team of professionals, which could include commercial sales, project managers, and other specialists. This involves not only managing the team but also mentoring and developing talent within the organization.

  • Operational Oversight: Ensuring that the projects and initiatives are executed efficiently and effectively, often involving project management, budgeting, and resource allocation.

  • Market Analysis and Business Development: Analyzing market trends and identifying new business opportunities in the field of vehicle mobility and beyond fuel. This could also involve developing business cases for new initiatives and projects.

  • Regulatory Compliance and Advocacy: Understanding and adhering to relevant regulations and standards in the industry, and potentially advocating for policy changes that benefit the field of vehicle mobility.

  • Customer and Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with customers, clients, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and how the company's vehicle mobility solutions can meet those needs.

Job Requirements:

  • Four year college degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum ten years of relevant business-to-business experience.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability to drive for results, create accountability and set clear goals and expectations

  • Strong fundamental understanding of finance including analysis of business data, reports and P&L statements

  • Must possess strong organizational, communication, presentation and analytical skills

  • This position also requires strong skills in the areas of self-motivation, relationship building, influencing, advocacy, and negotiation

  • Ability to create strategic forecasts and updates on competitive activity and industry trends.

  • Able to navigate through various sales applications and have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to travel via land and air nationwide, minimally 30% of the time.

  • Must pass a successful background investigation.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master in Business Administration or equivalent.

  • Experience working in a global, matrix oriented organizational structure; leading and influencing global teams

  • In depth knowledge and experience within the Payments Processing Industry

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
