We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Cloud Operations and Support for the LATAM region. This pivotal role involves overseeing and optimizing the operational functions of our clouds to drive efficiency, growth, and customer satisfaction across the region. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in managing complex systems including cloud computing, storage, and support, and a proven ability to lead and inspire teams.
In this role, the Director of Operations will be responsible for the full life cycle of our cloud deployments across the region, lead the local support activities, monitor the health of customer on-premise clouds, and be responsible for the cloud computing deployment in our colo-datacenter. This role demands a proactive leader who can identify and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
Your day to day:
Perform operations tasks related to supporting infrastructure for on-premises and cloud deployments.
Problem solve; identify and resolve issues, seeing the big picture view.
Perform operational tasks including, but not limited to SW/HW installations, upgrades, and more.
Configuration of servers, networking equipment, and cloud resources.
Creation and integration of tools for internal and/or external consumption.
Troubleshoot, design, and deploy advanced L2 and L3 Networks.
Track issues through to resolution.
Prioritize and manage several open tasks at one time.
Escalate issues to the next level, as needed.
Document processes and update knowledge base.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
Participate in training customers, as required.
Work closely with senior members of the Support, Operations, DevOps, and Engineering teams.
Eager and willing to learn new technologies and skills.
What you bring:
Must reside in Sao Paulo- onsite role (3 to 5 times per week at the office).
+10 years experience in administration, configuration, and tuning of Linux systems (Ubuntu/Debian and/or CentOS/RHEL), virtualization systems (VMware/Openstack/Citrix/AWS or similar).
Troubleshooting of Network, and/or Performance and/or OS related problems.
