We are hiring a Data Quality Manager to lead enterprise-grade data quality frameworks in Databricks. This hands-on leadership role combines technical development with team leadership. You will design and code scalable data-quality pipelines, integrate with Microsoft Purview and Unity Catalog, and mentor a junior engineer in Mexico.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and operationalizing data quality pipelines that ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across our data domains. This position is critical to modernizing our enterprise data stack and enabling trusted data through Microsoft Purview and Unity Catalog integration.

This is a 6-12 month contract-to-hire opportunity with strong potential for conversion to full-time employment!

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data quality frameworks in Databricks using PySpark and Python
• Develop automated data profiling, validation rules, and anomaly detection pipelines
• Assist with the completion of migrating existing Informatica IDQ rules and workflows to Databricks Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum)
• Implement data quality monitoring, alerting, and SLA tracking dashboards
• Integrate data lineage and governance across Unity Catalog and Microsoft Purview
• Build reusable data quality libraries and patterns for enterprise adoption
• Mentor and develop a junior data engineer in Mexico, providing technical guidance and code reviews

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in data quality engineering, MDM, or data reliability engineering
• Strong Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Lakehouse architectures
• Experience with SAP MDG or other MDM platforms
• Fluent Spanish - professional proficiency for collaboration with Mexico-based teams
