Aviato zoekt een ervaren lasser/monteur voor onze internationale GSE-onderhouds- en verhuuractiviteiten op Brussels Airport. Je voert lassen uit (MIG/TIG/Stick), levert metallisch fabricagewerk en vervangt/baant montages die aan tekeningen voldoen. Je werkt veilig, nauwkeurig en in teamverband aan diverse projecten.

De functie vereist minimaal 5 jaar ervaring, kennis van lastechnieken en leesvaardigheid van technische tekeningen. Een rijbewijs B is vereist; heftruckcertificaat is een pluspunt.

Qualifications

• Minimaal 5 jaar ervaring als lasser en/of mechanisch monteur.
• Kennis van MIG-, TIG- en stick-lassen.
• Ervaring met metaalbewerking en montage.
• Goede leesvaardigheid van technische tekeningen/ Blueprint.
• Engelse taalvaardigheid vereist.
• Rijbewijs B; heftruckcertificaat is een pluspunt.

Responsabilités

• Lassen en metaalbewerking uitvoeren op GSE-apparatuur.

For our client, an international company specialized in the management, maintenance and rental of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for the aviation industry, we are looking for a experienced motivated Welder / Mechanical Assembler.

As a Welder / Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for carrying out welding and metal fabrication work, as well as repairing mechanical components of non-motorized Ground Support Equipment (GSE). You will ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently and in accordance with technical specifications and quality standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform welding work using MIG, TIG, stick (electrode) welding and other welding techniques on GSE equipment.
• Repair cracks, reinforce structures and manufacture custom metal components.
• Assemble and install mechanical parts and components.
• Install, adjust and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering plans.
• Carry out inspections and preventive maintenance on welded structures and mechanical components.
• Repair and maintain locks, locking mechanisms and other mechanical systems.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and provide technical support to colleagues when required.
• Properly use and maintain welding equipment, tools and workshop machinery.
• Comply with all health, safety and quality procedures.
• Record completed work, repairs and material usage accurately.

Work closely with colleagues from the mechanical, electrical and workshop departments to ensure efficient maintenance and repair operations.

Profiel

• You have at least 5 years of experience as a welder and/or mechanical assembler, preferably within the aviation, automotive or heavy industrial sector.
• You have a solid knowledge of MIG, TIG and stick (electrode) welding techniques.
• You have experience with metal fabrication, construction work and mechanical assembly.
• You can confidently read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• You understand the properties of different materials and their behaviour during welding and repair work.
• You are accurate, quality-driven and committed to working safely.
• You are a reliable team player with a strong sense of responsibility.
• You have a good command of the English language.
• You hold a valid Category B driving licence.
• You have at least 5 years of experience as a welder and/or mechanical assembler, preferably within the aviation, automotive or heavy industrial sector.
