Van Hemelen is seeking a Technical Manager – Electrical Engineering to ensure the quality of electrical inspections and client safety. You will coordinate site inspections, lead a team of inspectors and advise on applicable standards.

You will engage in client meetings, translate needs into service offerings, and participate in sector committees. Fluency in Dutch and French is required, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or master’s degree in a technical field.
• Experience in industrial environment or with an inspection/certification body.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, especially AREI/RGIE; ATEX knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent in Dutch and French.
• Good leadership and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Represent the company on sector technical committees and participate in client meetings.

Your role :

As Technical Manager – Electrical Engineering , you will be a key figure in ensuring the quality of our electrical inspections and the safety of our clients. You will combine technical expertise with leadership and an advisory role.

More specifically:

You will technically coordinate inspections at our clients’ sites, covering high- and low-voltage installations, ATEX zones, fire detection systems and emergency lighting .

You will lead a team of approximately 15 inspectors . During an initial period of around one year, you will organize the technical support under the supervision of our Technical Director. Afterwards, you will assume final responsibility for the technical inspections and represent our company on the sector’s technical committees.

You will participate in client meetings and provide advice on applicable standards and legislation.

You will translate clients’ needs into a clear, feasible and high-quality service offering.

Who are we looking for?

You have strong technical and communication skills, enjoy taking the lead, and have a genuine passion for quality and safety.

Your profile:

You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or a master’s degree in a technical field.

You have experience in an industrial environment or with an inspection/certification body.

You have a thorough knowledge of safety regulations, particularly the Belgian General Regulations on Electrical Installations (AREI/RGIE) . Knowledge of fire safety and ATEX is a significant advantage.

You are passionate about technology and actively keep up with new developments.

You communicate easily, are customer-oriented and enjoy working collaboratively.

You are reliable and precise, with a strong sense of responsibility.

You are fluent in both Dutch and French .
