ATS Antwerp NV in Belgium seeks a (junior) Technical Estimator/Project Planner to join our team. You will start with an active onboarding program and work across sites in Wijnegem and Herenthout, gaining hands-on experience with control panels, drives, and automation systems.

You will learn to wire, assemble, and estimate projects, moving from field visits to office-based quoting as you progress. The role blends on-site exposure with precise cost estimation tasks in a growing ATS Group

Qualifications

• Analytical thinking to assess plans and client requests for custom projects.
• Proficient in MS Excel and estimation tools to support quotes.
• Familiarity with purchasing processes is a plus.

At ATS Antwerp NV, we design, build, and install high-tech electrical solutions for the industry's leading companies in and around Antwerp and the Kempen region. From pharmaceuticals and food to oil & gas, waste processing, and heavy chemicals: our systems and control panels are the beating hearts of complex industrial sites.

As a Technical Estimator / Project Planner, you'll be there from the very start of all these exciting projects. No two projects are the same here. You'll work on a variety of custom projects: from complex panel building and automation projects to drives, UPS systems, charging stations, cable routes, and installation work. Your work location will be flexibly assigned across our sites in Wijnegem and Herenthout.

A UNIQUE, FLYING START (6 MONTHS)

No dry theory or piles of paperwork on day one. As a (junior) cost estimator with us, you'll dive right into the real world with an active and exciting onboarding program:

• Start at the Control Panel Workshop: You'll begin right where the real magic happens. You'll gain hands-on experience with complex control panels, drives, power switches, and automation systems, and learn how to wire and assemble them.
• On-Site & in the Industry: You'll head out into the field to visit impressive industrial sites (pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food). You'll see firsthand how our signs are installed, how cable routes are laid out, and what's needed on-site to make a project a success.
• From the Field to Estimating: Only once you've mastered the technical skills and understand what's happening on-site do we move to the office. Armed with your hands-on experience and our advanced software, you'll create razor-sharp quotes.

As a calculator, you will be responsible for calculating cost prices and preparing quotes for various projects.

Your duties and responsibilities:

• Analysis & Technical Preparation: You analyze plans, diagrams, and client requests for a wide range of custom industrial projects.
• Selecting Components & Materials: Using our advanced calculation tools, you can select the right materials and components for panel building, automation, drives, and assembly work.
• Work More Efficiently Thanks to Our Purchasing Department: No more wasting time manually requesting quotes! Our centralized purchasing department keeps the database constantly up to date, so you can focus 100% on content and technology.
• Cost Estimation & Quotes: You combine the selected materials, labor hours, and project durations into an accurate cost estimate and convert this into clear, professional quote packages.

Profile

• Technical Qualifications: You hold an A2 or bachelor's degree in an electrical field (Electromechanics, Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering) or have equivalent experience.
• A Passion for Technology: You have a soft spot for the industrial sector, panel building, drive technology, and automation.
• Experience is a plus, but not required: Both motivated entry-level candidates and experienced estimators/work planners are welcome to apply.
• Analytical & Proficient with Software: You enjoy working with automated cost estimation software, are precise with numbers, and are proficient with MS Excel (knowledge of QuickDevis is a plus).
• Region: You can easily get to our locations in Wijnegem or Herenthout.
