Akkodis is seeking an experienced System Engineer – Efficiency & Mission Profile to join our automotive engineering team developing electrified transmission systems. You will define, analyze, and optimize transmission performance with a focus on energy efficiency and real-world mission profiles.

Responsabilités

• Define, analyse and optimise transmission system performance.
• Develop representative mission profiles and load cases based on customer usage and real-world driving scenarios.
• Perform energy flow analysis and identify efficiency losses throughout the transmission system.
• Support engineering trade-offs between mechanical design, control strategies and efficiency targets.
• Build and maintain system simulation models to predict transmission behaviour under different operating conditions.
• Analyse vehicle testing and validation results to improve simulation accuracy and model correlation.
• Collaborate closely with Hardware, Controls, Calibration, Testing and Validation teams.
• Define and support subsystem characterisation testing (clutches, bearings, drag torque, etc.).
• Participate in design reviews, DFMEA activities and validation planning.
• Benchmark competitor transmission technologies and contribute to future product innovation.

We are looking for an experienced System Engineer – Efficiency & Mission Profile to contribute to the development of next-generation transmission technologies. If you are passionate about system engineering, simulation, and energy efficiency, we'd love to hear from you.

As a System Engineer, you will define, analyse and optimise transmission system performance, with a strong focus on energy efficiency, drivability, and real-world mission profiles.

Working closely with system architects and multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will ensure that transmission solutions meet vehicle performance targets across a wide range of driving conditions.

• Define, maintain and validate system-level requirements related to transmission efficiency and performance.
• Develop representative mission profiles and load cases based on customer usage and real-world driving scenarios.
• Perform energy flow analysis and identify efficiency losses throughout the transmission system.
• Support engineering trade-offs between mechanical design, control strategies and efficiency targets.
• Build and maintain system simulation models to predict transmission behaviour under different operating conditions.
• Analyse vehicle testing and validation results to improve simulation accuracy and model correlation.

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or Mechatronics.

Minimum 5 years of experience in transmission development, with expertise in efficiency optimisation, simulation or testing.

• Strong understanding of transmission architectures, energy flow and loss mechanisms.
• Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink or similar simulation tools.
• Experience with data acquisition and engineering data analysis.
• Knowledge of Polarion or another requirements management tool is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
