allnex seeks a Sustainability Manager to drive global improvements, guiding teams toward 2030 and 2050 sustainability commitments while aligning with CSRD and pursuing decarbonization, circularity, and sustainable products.

This global role collaborates with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, R&D, PSRA and Leadership to accelerate performance and foster continuous improvement, reporting to the Head of Sustainability and can be located in any EMEA site.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years in an operational or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams and capital project investments.
  • Strong change management and stakeholder influencing skills.
  • Fluency in English and strong analytical abilities.

Responsabilités

  • Support and drive sustainability improvements across the global network.
  • Maintain Scope 1 and Scope 2 decarbonization roadmap to 2030 targets.
  • Keep GHG inventory and methodology aligned with GHG Protocol.
  • Develop business cases for decarbonization and energy efficiency projects.
  • Lead ISCC PLUS Mass Balance program governance and audits.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to advance sustainable materials and products.
  • Monitor regulations, standards, trends, and emerging tech.

Position Overview

At allnex, sustainability is at the heart of our long-term strategy. As a Sustainability Manager, you will play a key role in driving significant sustainability improvements across our global network. You will support and guide teams in achieving our ambitious 2030 and 2050 sustainability commitments while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, including CSRD, and advancing key sustainability priorities such as decarbonization, circularity, and sustainable products.

This is a global role that requires strong collaboration across Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, R&D, PSRA, Commercial, and Leadership teams to accelerate sustainability performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Position reports into Head of Sustainability and can be located in any of allnex EMEA locations.

Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of allnex's Sustainability Program across the global operations network, driving climate, circularity, and sustainable product initiatives.
  • Track, maintain, and continuously improve the Scope 1 and Scope 2 decarbonization roadmap to achieve 2030 emissions reduction targets and support climate neutrality ambitions by 2050.
  • Maintain the global greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory and calculation methodologies for Scope 1, Scope 2, and relevant Scope 3 emissions in line with GHG Protocol requirements, auditor expectations, and evolving regulations.
  • Support the development of business cases for sustainability investments, including decarbonization projects, energy efficiency initiatives, renewable energy programs, waste reduction, and water management projects.
  • Manage and further develop the global ISCC PLUS Mass Balance Program, ensuring certification compliance, governance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support the development and commercialization of sustainable raw materials and product solutions.
  • Support product sustainability initiatives, including product carbon footprint calculations, sustainability assessments, customer sustainability requests, and product claim validation.
  • Lead or contribute to strategic sustainability projects related to substances of concern, sustainable solvents, green building blocks, wastewater improvements, and engineering sustainability initiatives.
  • Monitor sustainability regulations, industry standards, market trends, and emerging technologies to maintain best-in-class sustainability practices.
  • Increase sustainability awareness across the organization through training, stakeholder engagement, presentations, and collaboration with global teams.
Required Skills And Experience
  • Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an operational or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated interest and involvement in sustainability initiatives and emerging technologies.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Exposure to capital investment projects, business case development, and sustainability-related projects.
  • Strong change management and stakeholder influencing skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to develop standards, procedures, and structured approaches.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to balance long‑term strategy and operational execution.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across all organizational levels.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable working in a fast‑evolving sustainability landscape.
  • Fluency in English.
