Kartesia is seeking a recent graduate or 1–2 years’ experience analyst to join its Sustainability team in Brussels. The role focuses on ESG reporting, data collection and policy updates within a dynamic, client‑oriented environment.

Ideal candidates will have a Master’s in finance or ESG, strong English skills (Spanish or German a plus), and a solid grasp of investment concepts and ESG regulations. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree with a financial or ESG connection.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish or German is a plus.
  • Good financial and investment knowledge.
  • Demonstrable interest in investment and ESG (including ESG risks and regulations).
  • Excellent communication, creativity, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently as well as being a team player.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, results driven, inquisitive mind.
  • Prior trainee experience in ESG, banking, private equity, or consulting is a plus.

Responsabilités

  • Sustainable finance reporting (SFDR Annexes, PAI Statements, EETs, PRI and LP requests).
  • Review and update ESG policies across Kartesia.
  • ESG data collection, validation and analysis across the portfolio.
  • Monitor compliance with ESG exclusion policies and investor restrictions.
  • Support investment teams on ESG integration throughout the lifecycle, including due diligence.
  • Prepare ESG updates for Quarterly Portfolio Reviews and LP reports.
  • Maintain the ESG database and monitoring files.

Kartesia is looking for a recent graduate or a 1-2 years’ experience analyst for their engaged & dynamic Sustainability team in the Brussels office.

We are an independent and privately-owned European specialist financing small and middle-market companies.We provide long-term liquidity and credit solutions following a fundamental and disciplined approach, based on our knowledge of the European small and mid-cap corporate market and our extensive professional network.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a client-centric mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Primary function & essential responsibilities will include:
  • Sustainable finance reporting (SFDR Annexes, PAI Statements, EETs, PRI and LP requests)
  • Review and update of all Kartesia ESG related policies
  • ESG data collection, validation and analysis across the portfolio
  • Compliance monitoring against ESG exclusion policies investor restrictions and controversies
  • Support to investment teams on ESG integration throughout the investment lifecycle, including ESG due diligence for new investment opportunities and ESG engagement with portfolio companies and monitoring of ESG action plans
  • Prepare ESG updates for Quarterly Portfolio Reviews (QPR) and Quarterly LP reports
  • Maintaining the ESG data base and monitoring files updated

  • Good financial and investment knowledge
  • Advanced MS Excel and Power Point skills
  • Demonstrable interest in investment and ESG (including ESG risks and ESG-linked regulations such as SFDR, TCFD, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, creativity, and organizational skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently as well as being a team player
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, results driven, with an inquisitive mind
  • Prior trainee experience in ESG, banking, direct lending / private equity, strategy consulting, financial analysis / audit, compliance is a plus.
