Your Role And Responsibilities
Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include
- Design Accessible Visual Experiences: Create visual experiences that unify and exemplify the convergence of user/market insights and IBM brand/design language, ensuring accessible use of color, color contrast, text and layout, motion and animation, and support for personalization.
- Interpret Research Insights: Interpret research insights and build understanding of the subject matter to design for user and market resonance, considering the diverse ways people with disabilities and neurodivergent people consume visual content.
- Translate Information into Visual Forms: Translate structural information into visual forms that make information compelling, easier to understand, and actionable, utilizing nuanced use of color, tone, layout, composition, imagery, typography, interactions, and motion.
- Review Designs for Accessibility: Review designs for consistency with the IBM Accessibility Requirements, articulating the access implications of visual design choices and specifying design features needed for accessibility.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Exposure to Accessible Visual Design: Experience working with accessible visual design principles, including accessible use of color, color contrast, text and layout, motion and animation, and support for personalization.
- Understanding of User Research: Exposure to interpreting research insights and building understanding of the subject matter to design for user and market resonance.
- Visual Design Skills: Experience working with visual design elements, including nuanced use of color, tone, layout, composition, imagery, typography, interactions, and motion.
- Accessibility Guidelines Knowledge: Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and requirements, such as the IBM Accessibility Requirements.
- Design Analysis and Review: Experience reviewing designs for consistency with accessibility guidelines and articulating access implications of visual design choices.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- Accessible Design Tools: Experience working with design tools that support accessible visual design, including those that provide color contrast analysis and accessibility audits.
- Inclusive Design Principles: Exposure to designing for diverse user needs, including those related to disability and neurodiversity.
- Personalization Techniques: Experience with design techniques that support personalization, allowing users to customize their visual experience.
