HiSERV is seeking a Senior Technician/Technical Trainer at Brussels Airport (Zaventem). You will be the go-to expert for complex electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and high‑voltage faults on GSE, shaping standards and delivering hands-on training across teams.

With a Bachelor’s in Electromechanics and extensive GSE experience, you will mentor colleagues, drive safety improvements, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning. Fluency in English is required; French/Dutch advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electromechanics or equivalent.
• Extensive experience as a technician or technical specialist within GSE or similar sectors.
• Willingness to obtain HEV 3 certification.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, hydraulic and mechanical systems.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and resolve advanced technical issues, performing repairs, adjustments, and follow-up interventions.
• Conduct root cause analyses on recurring equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, particularly during high-voltage work.
• Design, develop, and deliver technical training programs.
• Coach and mentor technicians through practical demonstrations and guidance.
• Promote knowledge sharing and contribute to standardized procedures and diagnostics.

Are you an experienced technician with a passion for solving complex technical challenges and developing others?

For our location at Brussels airport, we are looking for a Senior Technician/Technical Trainer (m/f/x) to play a key role in supporting our technical teams, driving equipment reliability, and delivering expert training in electrical and high-voltage systems.

In this role, you will serve as the go-to technical expert for complex electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, and high-voltage faults on Ground Support Equipment (GSE). Beyond troubleshooting, you will help shape technical standards, mentor colleagues, and contribute to a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.

You will:

• Diagnose and resolve advanced technical issues, performing repairs, adjustments, and follow-up interventions when required.
• Conduct root cause analyses on recurring equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, particularly during high-voltage work.
• Design, develop, and deliver technical training programs.
• Coach and mentor technicians through practical demonstrations, guidance.
• Promote knowledge sharing across sites and contribute to standardized technical procedures, diagnostic methods, and work instructions.
• Support workshop operations and act as a deputy for the Workshop Supervisor when needed.
• Document technical findings, analyses, recommendations, and training materials.
• Participate in recruitment activities by assessing technical competencies and practical skills of candidates.

Bachelor's degree in Electromechanics or equivalent through experience.

Extensive experience as a technician or technical specialist within Ground Support Equipment (GSE), Heavy mobile equipment, Automotive, Trucks & buses, Agricultural machinery or similar technical environments

Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

Experience with fault diagnostics, measuring instruments, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.

Willingness and capability to obtain HEV 3 certification.

Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and solve complex technical issues.

Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

Hands-on approach and willingness to remain actively involved in technical work.

Coaching, mentoring, and training capabilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong focus on safety and quality.

Independent, flexible, and collaborative team player.

Excellent English language skills; knowledge of the local language is considered an advantage.
