Wlgroup in Belgium seeks a senior cyber security engineer to run and enhance its public key infrastructure across a large international defence organisation. You will design future security capabilities and act as the go-to expert when certificates malfunction.

You will install, configure and maintain PKI components, manage HSMs, cryptographic services, and drive incident response, with a focus on reliability, security and documentation.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in cyber security or related field.
• Deep knowledge of modern networking and security protocols.
• Hands-on administration of Windows Server, RHEL and VMware.
• Scripting in Python and PowerShell; automation with Ansible.
• Familiarity with SSL/TLS/OpenSSL and SQL databases.
• Experience with network installation, testing, integration and fault diagnosis.
• Storage networks, servers, tape libraries and virtualization platforms.
• Experience with Juniper, Palo Alto and RSA NetWitness.
• Proven track record in government/industrial deployments.
• Strong written and spoken English with technical writing ability.

Responsabilités

• Install, configure and maintain PKI infrastructure and components.
• Run directory service, web services and maintain databases.
• Own certificate status checking and timestamping processes.
• Deploy and manage card management system and smart card enrollment.
• Manage hardware security modules and firmware upgrades.
• Analyze CA logs, troubleshoot incidents and monitor for anomalies.
• Oversee daily operations, backups and restore testing.
• Provide 2nd/3rd line technical support to authorities and customers.
• Design new components and write SOPs; document changes.
• Integrate security tooling; validate and accept new environments.
• Write installation guides, baselines, tests and hardening guides.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers and stakeholders; knowledge transfer at handover.
• Willingness to work outside office hours for incidents.
