EDFI Management Company in Brussels seeks a Senior Guarantee Officer to lead the deployment of guarantee programmes and drive reporting and digital system enhancements. The role partners with the Mandate Team and EC to design and implement new EU mandates and scalable processes.

The candidate should have 5–8 years in banking or development finance, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and fluency in English; French/Dutch is a plus. Based in Brussels with a full-time contract.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Finance.
• 5–8 years of relevant work experience in banking (development or commercial) accounting, auditing or banking – middle/back office.
• At least 2 years in a similar EU institution/EDFIs/consultancy.
• Meticulous, detail oriented and good with numbers.
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with debt/equity financing by banks/EDFIs and loan documentation.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to screening of project proposals for eligibility and additionality.
• Prepare and present project memo updates to senior management.
• Coordinate with EDFI investment teams for pre-screening, training, portfolio monitoring and reporting.
• Data collection and analysis; manage data inquiries.
• Maintain financial/contract data and a dedicated guarantee deal flow system.
• Monitor contractual reporting timelines and programme ramp-up goals.
• Support development of new programmes and ad hoc tasks for the Guarantee Manager.
• Interface with European Commission staff to ensure smooth operation and fee management.
