Pauwels Consulting in Olen, Belgium is seeking a Lead E&I Engineer to manage technical leadership across large-scale process industry projects. You will oversee the E&I discipline from concept to commissioning, make material decisions, and ensure safety and environmental compliance.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in E&I, with 3+ in leadership, strong instrumentation knowledge, ATEX/SIL experience, Caneco and EPLAN, and fluent Dutch and English; willingness to travel occasionally within Europe.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering.
7+ years’ E&I experience in the process industry, including 3+ years in a leading role.
Extensive knowledge of industrial instrumentation (pressure, flow and level).
Experience with ATEX guidelines, SIL safety calculations, and Caneco cable calculations.
Ability to interpret electrical diagrams in EPLAN and basic automation hardware knowledge.
Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsabilités

Lead the electrical and instrumentation (E&I) discipline independently from feasibility studies through to commissioning and handover.
Make technical decisions regarding materials and applications while considering environmental factors and project requirements.
Interpret and assess electrical diagrams, cable calculations, and functional safety requirements.
Ensure compliance with ATEX regulations and Exi calculations across project phases.
Prepare technical specifications and tender documents while defining and monitoring budgets and milestones.
Collaborate closely with internal project teams and external partners to ensure technical alignment.
