Jobgether SRL, based in Belgium, seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and evolve scalable infrastructure supporting large-scale, customer-facing products. You will own critical systems end-to-end, from architecture to production operations, while guiding best practices across security, observability, and developer tooling.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or backend engineering within cloud-based environments, preferably AWS.
• Demonstrated experience owning a significant product, platform component, or subsystem from initial design through production
• T-shaped technical expertise across infrastructure domains and broader tech stack
• Hands-on experience managing infrastructure through code using Terraform
• Deep understanding of cloud fundamentals: networking, load balancing, containers, Kubernetes/EKS
• Strong programming skills in Go or Python and production-ready software
• Experience operating Redis/ElastiCache in production including scaling and failover
• Exposure to observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: version control, testing, safe deployments
• High ownership and autonomous work style, able to handle ambiguity
• Strong communication skills to align engineers and stakeholders
• Proficient written and spoken English, technical documentation and PR reviews

Responsabilités

• Own a core infrastructure product or subsystem end to end from design to production operation and improvement.
• Define objectives and success criteria aligning with business goals and identify risks.
• Translate requirements into pragmatic, edge-case-aware designs.
• Build secure, resilient, high-performing, and cost-efficient infrastructure for diverse workloads.
• Design and ship developer tooling to improve productivity and reduce toil.
• Manage infrastructure through code and configuration using Terraform.
• Collaborate with product engineering to design scalable services and clarify requirements.
• Participate in incident response and systematic debugging across services.
• Improve monitoring and observability using performance data to boost stability.
• Apply security-first mindset in infrastructure and development.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and design discussions.
• Foster cross-team collaboration on architecture, processes, and priorities.
