Everience Benelux is seeking a Functional Analyst to design, document, and support applications that automate the management of power asset portfolios and asset-backed trading. You will write functional specifications, technical requirements, and end-user support documentation, and develop user stories with solid test coverage.

You will analyze business needs, onboard users, run regression tests, and contribute to small Python-based development tasks.

Job Description

We are looking for a Functional Analyst to play a key role in designing, documenting, and supporting critical applications that automate the management of power asset portfolios and asset-backed trading. This scope covers all power asset technologies, including thermal, nuclear, renewable, and battery storage.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Identifying and analyzing business and functional requirements for portfolio management and trading applications
• Writing functional specifications, technical requirements, and end-user support documentation
• Developing user stories, acceptance criteria, and business test cases for new features, ensuring smooth implementation and solid unit-test coverage
• Acting as the first point of contact for internal users, onboarding them and making sure they get the most out of the team's tools
• Running regression tests manually, and automating them through Python scripting
• Contributing to small development tasks on end-user Python applications

Qualifications

• Experience with energy markets (power is a must) and power plant technologies, and how they fit into asset management and trading
• Basic understanding of financial products, including the options life-cycle (payoff, exercise, etc.)
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and MS Excel
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure)
• Strong analytical mindset, comfortable breaking down complex problems and turning them into clear, actionable insights
• A proactive, creative approach to problem-solving
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to adapt to different audiences
• A genuine team player

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, Quantitative Analyst, Software Developer, Software Engineer, Data Engineer, or Data Scientist
• Fluent English (required)
• French or Dutch is a plus
• Hybrid setup, with at least 2 days per week in the office
