Dataroots, a Talan company, seeks a Senior AI Engineer to lead design, build, and deployment of AI solutions delivering real business value across industries. You will architect production-grade systems with MLOps/LLMOps, guiding clients and mentoring colleagues.

Fluency in English is required; Dutch/French fluency is a big advantage. You’ll work across GenAI, Agentic AI, ML and DL, leveraging cloud platforms and modern data workflows, with client on-site work and international collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of industry experience building and deploying software, ML or AI systems in production.
• Proficiency in Python & SQL.
• Hands-on GenAI & Agentic AI experience with RAG architectures and LLM orchestration.
• Strong grounding in ML and DL with production application.
• Experience with cloud-native deployment and model lifecycle management.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Fluency in English; Dutch/French fluency is a big advantage.
• Consulting experience is a big plus.
• Front-end experience is a plus.

As a Senior AI Engineer, you take the lead in designing, building, and deploying AI solutions that deliver tangible business value for our clients across a variety of industries, spanning classical ML, modern GenAI, and Agentic AI use cases. Your work goes beyond getting the models to work; you architect robust, production-grade systems using best practices in MLOps and LLMOps to ensure they are reliable, maintainable, and scalable over time. As a senior engineer, you also play a key role in guiding clients through technical decisions and mentoring fellow team members.

You bring the following qualities & experiences to the role:

• A deep passion for Artificial Intelligence and its applications.
• A minimum of 4 years of industry experience building and deploying software, ML or AI systems in production.
• In-depth understanding of software design principles; Proficiency in Python & SQL is a must.
• Hands-on GenAI & Agentic AI experience: Practical work with RAG architectures, LLM orchestration, and agentic frameworks.
• A strong theoretical and practical grounding in traditional Machine Learning and Deep Learning and how to apply them pragmatically in production settings.
• Experience deploying AI systems into production, with a solid grasp of model lifecycle management and cloud-native deployment practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and a history of working with cloud-based AI and data workflows.
• Front-end experience is considered a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for clients.
• Fluency in English. Speaking Dutch/French fluently is a very big advantage.
• Consulting experience is a big plus.
