Alan Belgium is hiring an Insurance Expert to design and price health insurance offers, monitor business risks, and help the team translate healthcare and insurance subtleties into actionable outputs.

You will join a talented Insurance Team across Belgium and other countries, collaborating with data scientists, designers, engineers and product managers to build differentiating products and ensure fair pricing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the health insurance sector.
• Fluent in English and French or Dutch.
• Actuarial/scientific background with practical insurance experience.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to translate data into outputs.
• Builder mindset focused on improving and scaling processes.

• We build and manage offers for large companies and public institutions with our sales and account management teams.
• We make sure our portfolio is closely monitored and risks are effectively managed.
• We also manage our capital, steer our reinsurance strategy and maintain a trusting relationship with our insurance regulators.

The role of an Insurance Expert at Alan is to:

• Design and price insurance offers,

Is it you we're looking for?

You may be a great fit for the role if:

• You have 5+ years of experience in the insurance sector, with meaningful exposure to health insurance products (hospitalisation, group insurance, disability or dental)
• You are fluent in English and French/Dutch
• You combine a scientific background (actuarial sciences, statistics, mathematics or data science) with practical experience in insurance (product, pricing, regulatory or analytics)
• You have strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data, business and legal questions into actionable outputs
• You have a builder mindset: you continuously identify opportunities to improve and scale processes and systems
• You are willing to deeply change the insurance and healthcare industry and challenge the status quo
• You communicate in a clear, structured and to-the-point way (written and spoken)

For this role, we are looking to hire within the D-F level range.
