Allied Universal® seeks a Security Officer Full Time Alarm Response Patrol in Newark, DE to safeguard clients across healthcare locations and other facilities. You will monitor access, patrol assigned areas, and respond to incidents with professionalism and strong customer service.

We offer a $17.00 hourly pay rate, day shift schedule, and opportunities for training and advancement within a leading security and facility services company.

Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• A guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control or badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a healthcare/pharmaceutical location by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, access-related concerns, and critical situations calmly according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, laboratories, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry per site procedures; track visitor and employee activity.
• Document incidents and patrols accurately and communicate relevant information to leadership.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors at a healthcare and pharmaceutical research location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, laboratories, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, maintaining awareness of visitor, employee, and contractor activity.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
