WLG in Belgium is seeking a data onboarding specialist to own the intake of data sources, ensure they align with the model, and confirm agreement with stakeholders. The role emphasizes governance and handling classified information.

You'll work on-site near Brussels, engaging with government bodies and partners, leading discussions, and producing repeatable processes with clear documentation.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree, ideally master's level, and experience in data work of this kind.
• Working understanding of Splunk and SQL.
• Genuine care with classified and mission-critical information.
• Communication that holds up in front of government bodies, partners and industry alike, and the confidence to run a board.
• Professional English at full working level.
• Experience supporting a military or governmental organisation is helpful.

Responsabilités

• Maintain the register of data sources and verify landing against the data model.
• Analyse assets, configurations and vulnerabilities, extracting what matters and aligning with standards.
• Lead discussions on sources, correlation and procedures; drive consensus.
• Prepare findings with recommendations and documented methods for repeatability.
• Review service depth, compliance and exposure across architecture, configuration and docs.
• Attend or chair the onboarding group and the data governance board.

A multinational defence organisation is building a picture of its own assets, configurations and vulnerabilities, and that picture is only as good as the data behind it. This role owns the onboarding end: what comes in, whether it matches the model, and who agreed to it.

What You Would Be Doing

• Maintaining the register of data sources and checking that what arrives matches the data model and has landed correctly.
• Analysing sources covering assets, configurations and vulnerabilities — cataloguing them, pulling out what matters, and reviewing configurations against the security standards in force.
• Leading technical discussions on sources, correlation and procedures: setting the agenda, holding the room, and turning several opinions into one decision.
• Preparing and presenting findings, with recommendations and the method written down so the result can be repeated.
• Reviewing the service for depth, compliance and exposure — architecture, configuration, procedures, documentation.
• Attending and, where needed, chairing the onboarding group and the data governance board.
