Department of War Education Activity (DOWEA) is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to implement school-based speech therapy services, assess and plan programs for students with disabilities, and collaborate with teachers to apply therapy gains in classroom activities.

The role involves providing interventions for reading/writing difficulties, serving as a resource for staff and families, and participating in professional development to advance the educational program.

Responsabilités

• Implement the speech/language therapy services of the school and provides instruction, assessment, and program planning for students identified with a range of disabilities.
• Provide speech/language therapy to students with a variety of speech/language impairments.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to facilitate application of therapy gains into classroom activities.
• Provide interventions to assist teachers in working with students with reading/writing difficulties
• Serve as an informational resource for teachers, students, parents, district personnel, and community organizations.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and committee activities to review, evaluate, and develop educational materials to improve the educational program.
• Inform school administration of education deficiencies, critical issues, and emergencies.
