PrediQT Technologies in Brussels, Belgium, is seeking a numerical software specialist to join the R&D team developing a new GPU-native scale-resolved simulation technology for weather forecasting and climate applications. You will contribute to design, implementation and validation of a high-fidelity code with strong emphasis on solver numerics and performance.

The role requires deep knowledge of numerical methods, experience with GPU programming and a track record in weather-related software.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate has strong experience in numerical methods, scientific software implementation and weather applications.
• Experience with GPU-accelerated scientific codes and performance optimization is highly valued.
• Familiarity with weather/climate modelling workflows and numerical weather prediction concepts is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Extend PrediQT’s GPU-native solver capabilities toward weather forecasting and climate applications.
• Design and implement a new scale-resolved, high-fidelity simulation code with focus on accuracy and performance.
• Work with weather prediction workflows, including NWP models or similar codes, to validate developments.
• Test and verify new numerical developments on established weather benchmarks and verification cases.
• Contribute to technical publications and conference presentations in CFD, NWP and climate science.
