FMA Services is seeking an experienced Rigger for the 2nd shift to support a large-scale industrial project. You will be responsible for the safe slinging, guiding, and positioning of loads, working closely with crane operators, supervisors, and other disciplines.

Ideal candidates have practical rigging experience in industrial construction or shutdowns, knowledge of WLL/SWL, hand signals, and center of gravity. Valid VCA and rigger certificates are required; EU residence is necessary.

Qualifications

• Practical experience as a rigger in industrial construction, maintenance, or shutdowns.
• Knowledge of rigging principles, center of gravity, sling angles, WLL/SWL, and hand signals.
• Safety-conscious, physically fit, and stress-resistant during controlled lifting activities.
• Clear communication and disciplined adherence to procedures.
• Willing to work structurally in the 2nd shift.
• Basic knowledge of Dutch or English is necessary for safe site communication.

Responsabilités

• Correct slinging, securing, guiding, and releasing of loads according to approved methods.
• Acting as a signaller/banksman and maintaining clear communication with the crane operator.
• Monitoring exclusion zones, load paths, and the safe positioning of personnel during lifts.
• Performing LMRA and reporting damaged equipment, unsafe situations, or deviations from the lifting plan.
• Assisting with the assembly, disassembly, or positioning of equipment where this falls within your authority.
• Strictly adhering to site safety, lifting & rigging procedures, and instructions from the lifting supervisor.

About the Position

You are responsible for the safe slinging, guiding, and positioning of loads and work closely with crane operators, supervisors, and other disciplines.

Your Responsibilities

• Preparing lifting operations based on work orders, lifting plans, and site instructions.
• Inspecting slings, chains, shackles, spreader beams, and other rigging equipment before use.

Education & experience

Education: Vocational training or equivalent through experience

Experience: Demonstrable industrial rigging experience

Certificates & site requirements

• Valid Basic VCA certificate required.
• Valid rigger/slinging of loads certificate or demonstrable project-accepted qualification required.
• Working at heights training is an advantage.
