Imec, based in Leuven, Belgium, seeks an R&D Project Leader to drive next-generation cooling integration for high-performance computing. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, shaping an integration strategy from materials to system-level concepts.

The role combines hands-on R&D with strategic coordination, advancing IP and collaboration across imec. A PhD and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• PhD in engineering, physics, materials science, or a related field.
• Strong technical background in thermal management/cooling technologies.
• Experience with semiconductor processing or advanced packaging.
• Proven ability to integrate multidisciplinary inputs into a coherent technical vision.
• Experience in project coordination or technical stewardship is a strong asset.
• Hands-on mindset and willingness to engage in experimental work.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsabilités

• Guide and coordinate imec expertise teams across process, device, integration, modeling, and testing.
• Define and implement a coherent integration strategy for a system concept.
• Assess integration, reliability, and scalability needs into actionable approaches.
• Contribute to hands-on R&D activities in the lab for fast iteration.
• Drive interactions with stakeholders across imec and contribute to IP creation.
