Trasis seeks an R&D Engineer – Plastic Components to design, develop, validate and industrialize injection-molded plastic parts for its machine consumables. You will collaborate with toolmakers, molders, and inspection labs to meet technical, quality, and regulatory standards and to satisfy customer needs.

You will define specifications, prepare tooling and molding supplier docs, and lead supplier qualification while coordinating subcontractors to ensure timely deliverables.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering (Electromechanics, Mechanical, Materials) or equivalent through experience.
• Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding and plastic assembly techniques.
• Significant experience in development, industrialization, or improvement of plastic products.
• Good command of English.
• Able to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and rigor.
• Resourceful with a practical, hands-on mindset.
• Solution-oriented.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop injection-m molded plastic parts used in Trasis machine consumables in compliance with technical, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Define and justify the functional specifications of developed products and methods.
• Prepare technical specifications for toolmakers and injection molding suppliers.
• Identify, evaluate, select, and qualify suppliers and technical partners as the primary technical contact.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractors ensuring requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
• Contribute to qualification protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) and quality control procedures.
• Participate in risk analyses and implement mitigation measures.
• Manage and maintain technical/regulatory documentation and BOMs in internal systems.
• Provide technical support and perform root-cause investigations during production or after market release.

As an R&D Engineer – Plastic Components, you are responsible for the design, development, validation, and industrialization of injection-molded plastic components used in Trasis machine consumables. You select and work closely with subcontractors (toolmakers, injection molders, dimensional inspection laboratories, etc.) to successfully carry out your mission. You maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and ensure that solutions meet industry constraints as well as internal and external customer needs.

Responsibilities

• You design and develop injection-molded plastic parts used in Trasis machine consumables in compliance with technical, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• You define and justify the functional specifications of developed products and methods.
• You prepare technical specifications for toolmakers responsible for mold design and manufacturing, as well as for injection molding suppliers responsible for part production.
• You identify, evaluate, select, and qualify suppliers and technical partners, acting as the primary technical point of contact.
• You coordinate and monitor subcontractors, ensuring compliance with requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
• You contribute to the development of qualification protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) and quality control procedures for production and post-production activities.
• You participate in risk analyses related to products, processes, and industrialization, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• You ensure the management, maintenance, and compliance of technical and regulatory documentation, as well as item data and bills of materials within internal systems.
• You provide technical support and perform root-cause investigations in cases of technical issues, non-conformities, deviations, or incidents occurring during production or after market release.

Profile

Essential

• You hold a degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering in Electromechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent through experience.
• You have strong knowledge of plastic injection molding and plastic assembly techniques.
• You have significant experience in the development, industrialization, or improvement of plastic products.
• You have a good command of English.
• You are able to work autonomously and effectively prioritize tasks.
• You have a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and rigor.
• You are resourceful and possess a practical, hands‑on mindset.
• You are solution-oriented.

Nice to Have

• You have experience in the design of electromechanical systems.
