Exail in Ostend is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure incoming materials and produced sub-assemblies meet specifications, and to support the quality coordinator in applying the quality management system.

You will perform in-line quality checks, prepare reports, assist with customer audits, and help draw up quality documents as part of a manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of quality control standards and measurement methods.
• Experience with manufacturing and production processes.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical diagrams.
• Familiar with basic Office packages, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and meticulous mindset.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Will you join us in building the high-tech drones of the future and help us fight mines? This is possible at our brand-new production site in Ostend!

As Quality Inspector, you check whether the delivered materials and the produced (sub)assemblies meet the technical and production specifications. You support the quality coordinator in applying the quality management system.

YOUR TASKS

• You check incoming goods on an AQL basis and according to the control plan

• You make the necessary reports and follow up on the quality actions

• During the production process, you perform in-line quality checks and release production pieces

• You monitor the production configuration

• You assist the quality coordinator in the preparation of customer audits

• You assist the quality coordinator in drawing up specific quality documents

YOUR SKILLS

• You have a good knowledge of quality control standards

• You have a good knowledge of measurement techniques on mechanical parts

• Mechanical plans hold no secrets for you

• You can read electrical and electronic diagrams and use them in your inspections

• You have experience with manufacturing and production processes (machining, surface treatments, PCB coating and cable production)

• You are familiar with the basic Office packages

YOUR PROFILE

• You are meticulous and have an eye for detail

• You have a technical education (preferably in mechanics or electronics)

• You have good administrative skills and can work well with Microsoft Excel

• You enjoy launching improvement proposals in order to increase efficiency

• You are a strong communicator and good at building relationships

• You speak English, French and Dutch fluently

• Relevant experience in a production environment is a plus
