Vulcain Engineering Belgium is seeking a QA/QC & Welding Inspector to support the construction of a major industrial renewable energy facility. You will ensure quality and compliance of mechanical equipment, piping, and welding activities on site.

You will review welding docs, participate in FAT/SAT, monitor fabrication and installation, and coordinate with contractors to implement corrective actions while maintaining traceability.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in industrial QA/QC inspection activities.
• Strong experience with piping systems, pressure equipment, mechanical installations or energy-related facilities.
• Solid understanding of welding processes, inspection techniques and quality requirements.
• Experience reviewing welding documentation, material traceability and manufacturing records.
• Knowledge of NDT methods and inspection practices is considered a strong asset.
• CSWIP, IWT, IWE or equivalent certifications are highly appreciated.
• Professional proficiency in English is mandatory.

• Identify, document and follow up non-conformities, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and construction teams regarding quality issues and inspection activities.
• Review inspection reports, material certificates, NDT reports and manufacturing records.
• Support project quality reporting and ensure proper traceability of inspection and testing activities.

As part of our activities in the Renewable Energy sector, we are looking for a QA/QC & Welding Inspector to support the construction of a major industrial renewable energy facility. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of mechanical equipment, piping systems and welding activities performed throughout the project. Working closely with contractors, suppliers, construction teams and project stakeholders, you will play a key role in guaranteeing that all fabrication and installation activities meet project specifications, applicable standards and regulatory requirements.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

• Perform QA/QC inspections on mechanical equipment, piping systems and welding activities during fabrication and site installation.
• Review welding documentation, welding procedures, qualification records and welder certifications.
• Ensure compliance with approved quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), project specifications and applicable standards.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and supplier inspections.
• Monitor fabrication, assembly and installation activities to ensure quality requirements are consistently achieved.
• Identify, document and follow up non-conformities, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and construction teams regarding quality issues and inspection activities.
• Review inspection reports, material certificates, NDT reports and manufacturing records.
• Support project quality reporting and ensure proper traceability of inspection and testing activities.

ABOUT YOU:

• Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent through experience.
• 10 years of experience in industrial QA/QC inspection activities.
• Strong experience with piping systems, pressure equipment, mechanical installations or energy-related facilities.
• Solid understanding of welding processes, inspection techniques and quality requirements.
• Experience reviewing welding documentation, material traceability and manufacturing records.
• Knowledge of NDT methods and inspection practices is considered a strong asset.
• CSWIP, IWT, IWE or equivalent certifications are highly appreciated.
• Professional proficiency in English is mandatory.
