The European Defence Agency (EDA) is seeking a Project Officer Ammunition (SNE) to join the Capability, Armament and Planning Directorate (CAP) in Brussels. The successful candidate will be seconded from a national authority for a three-year period, with an AD10/AD11 equivalent appointment.

duties include contributing to capability development, supporting joint procurement and coordinating with Member States and EU institutions.

Qualifications

• University degree in a field relevant to the post (e.g. Engineering, Defence and Security).
• Professional experience in defence procurement/acquisition, and/or military capability development.
• Experience in preparation and primary management of defence procurement programmes, including regulatory frameworks at EU level.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to capability development to support EU Member States in improving military capabilities, especially Ammunition and Land domain.
• Assist in harmonising military requirements and aggregation of demand towards joint procurement.
• Support collaborative procurement of defence equipment/materiel within EDA frameworks, including governance of procurement projects and contracting.
• Develop and manage Business Cases with Member States for joint development/acquisition projects within CAP, including coordination with PCAs/CGs and other groups.
• Interact with external stakeholders (EEAS, EUMS, EC, NATO) to align projects with EU defence policies.
• Provide technical advice and represent the Agency at conferences and seminars.
• Take on additional tasks as required by the service.
