WLG is seeking a Project Manager to own medium-scale initiatives from definition through formal acceptance. You will lead the project team, choose appropriate methods and tools, and manage change, risk, and communications with stakeholders across sites.

The role requires a track record of end-to-end project delivery, financial discipline, and the ability to work with multinational teams. Regular travel between sites is expected.

A multinational defence organisation is looking for a project manager who can take full responsibility for a medium-scale project and carry it from definition to formal acceptance, with the stakeholder work that goes with it treated as part of the job rather than an interruption.

What You Would Be Doing

• Taking full responsibility for the definition, approach and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects.
• Leading the project team, and choosing methods and tools that suit the work instead of the other way round.
• Running change control and assessing and managing risk as the project moves.
• Keeping project plans realistic and communication to stakeholders regular and accurate.
• Making sure quality reviews happen on schedule and to procedure.
• Delivering within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets, and getting deliverables formally accepted.
• Monitoring cost, time, quality and resource use, and acting when performance drifts outside tolerance rather than reporting that it has.
• Managing the relationships around the project — suppliers, customers and internal units — so that problems arrive early.
