PLUO is seeking a Technical Project Manager to orchestrate stand construction from concept to on-site execution. You will coordinate design, production, logistics and assembly, ensuring feasibility, profitability, and timely delivery of complex exhibition projects.

You will lead technical preparation, manage suppliers and subcontractors, and liaise with organizers. A strong background in construction/engineering and 3+ years in related roles are expected.

Qualifications

• Background in construction, architecture, or engineering (or equivalent experience).
• At least 3 years of experience in project management, site supervision, or technical coordination.
• Interest in technology, construction, and manufacturing methods.

Responsabilités

• Lead project construction and coordinate stand projects from validation to post-site debriefing.
• Ensure deadlines, budgets, and quality requirements are met; anticipate risks and take corrective actions.
• Technically prepare projects: analyze plans, validate offers, manage listings and orders.
• Coordinate teams and partners across sales, design, production, logistics and assembly; liaise with organizers.
• Ensure communication with organizers and follow up on risk assessments and plan approvals.
• Monitor field operations; support on-site during assembly/dismantling; conduct debriefings.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of methods and processes; work with stand systems like Aluvision.

Your main mission

At PLUO, the Project Manager is the conductor of stand construction. Your role is to transform a validated commercial concept into a concrete, technically feasible, profitable, and perfectly executed on-site realization. You coordinate all technical stages of the project — development, production, stock preparation, logistics, assembly, and dismantling — according to PLUO methods. Your daily colleagues are: the sales teams, the design office, production, logistics, as well as external partners and trade fair organizers.

Your responsibilities

• Lead project construction


• You coordinate one or more stand projects from commercial validation to post-site debriefing.


• You ensure compliance with deadlines, budgets, and quality requirements.


• You anticipate risks and implement necessary corrective actions.


• Technically prepare projects


• You analyze plans, validated offers, and technical constraints.


• You prepare orders, supplies, and the various listings required for the project.


• You ensure the technical feasibility of proposed solutions.


• Coordinate teams and partners


• You liaise between sales, the design office, production, logistics, and assembly teams.


• You coordinate suppliers, subcontractors, and external stakeholders.


• You ensure communication with the organizer and follow up on risk assessments, method statements, and plan approvals.


• You ensure good information flow throughout the project.


• Monitor field operations


• You support teams during assembly and dismantling phases.


• You conduct site debriefings and analyze project profitability.


• You participate in the continuous improvement of our methods and processes.


• More than a Project Manager, a technical conductor


• Approximately 50% of the role is dedicated to technical preparation, listings, orders, component tracking, and detailed organization of the various construction stages.


• The position involves a significant dimension of administrative and documentary coordination.


• You will be working with stand construction systems such as Aluvision or other modular solutions.

The Technical Project Manager is not responsible for the creative design of the stand or the daily commercial relationship with the client: your mission is to ensure the feasibility and execution of the project.

What does a typical day look like?

• Participate in technical meetings with the design office, sales, and logistics teams


• Place orders with suppliers


• Ensure administrative document follow-up, create listings for the construction site, and draft production sheets


• Monitor internal preparations


• Read and analyze the assembly plan and brief the assembly teams


• Be present on site if necessary


• Conduct project debriefings

Your Profile

• Ideally, you have a background in construction, architecture, or engineering (or equivalent experience).


• You have at least 3 years of experience in project management, site supervision, or technical coordination.


• You have a genuine interest in technology, construction, and manufacturing methods.


• You are able to break down a project into its smallest details to ensure its technical feasibility.


• You enjoy seeking pragmatic and innovative technical solutions to enable the concrete realization of projects.


• You have a good understanding of materials and construction methods.


• You are able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and budgets simultaneously.


• You are proficient in standard office software.


• Knowledge of Vectorworks is a real asset.


• Experience in the exhibition stand, interior design, construction, or technical event sector is a significant advantage.

Languages

• Fluent French essential.


• Knowledge of Dutch and/or English is a plus.


• Ability to read technical documents in English is sometimes required.
