TDC Design Foundry is seeking a Project Manager to oversee interior design/build projects from concept to completion. You will lead cross‑functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure quality and schedule adherence.

Responsibility includes coordinating with clients, design teams, architects, contractors, and vendors to deliver projects on time and within scope. Strong communication, leadership, and budget management are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within interior design, construction, or build.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and building codes.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale interior design/build projects from concept to completion.
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project) and knowledge of AutoCAD & Revit.
• Strong leadership and team management skills and excellent communication.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.

Job Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of interior design and build projects from concept to completion. This role involves coordinating with clients, design teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager will also be responsible for managing schedules, budgets, resources, and communication between all stakeholders to ensure project alignment with client expectations and company goals.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.
• Coordinate with design teams, architects, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure proper scheduling and resource allocation.
• Forecast resource needs, including labor, materials, and equipment.

Client Relationship Management

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and updates with clients regularly.
• Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction with final project outcomes.

Budget Management

• Coordinate with QS team to develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial goals.
• Monitor expenses, assist procurement team in negotiations with suppliers and vendors, and seek cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Prepare budget reports and track expenditures, change orders, and financial projections.

Quality Control & Assurance

• Ensure all work meets the design and quality standards of the firm.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design intent, codes, and safety regulations.
• Identify and mitigate any issues that may affect the project quality.

Risk Management & Problem Solving

• Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans.
• Address project-related issues or concerns, making quick decisions to minimize delays or additional costs.
• Implement conflict resolution strategies with team members, contractors, or clients as needed.

Team Coordination & Leadership

• Lead cross-functional teams, including designers, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure alignment and coordination.
• Foster a collaborative and productive working environment.
• Assign tasks and manage team performance to ensure project milestones are met.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure all project activities comply with relevant regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
• Maintain thorough documentation of project progress, contracts, permits, and approvals.
• Prepare final project reports and close-out documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field. A master’s degree equivalent to NICMAR is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the interior design, construction, or build industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and building codes.
